The story
An engineer who refused to accept that he was "just getting older."
For years I lived the standard story: chronic inflammation, stubborn weight gain, brain fog, joint pain — and the constant feeling that I'd been lied to by mainstream nutrition advice. "Eat less, move more" was a process with a broken root cause.
So I did what engineers do. I went back to first principles — biology, biochemistry, real data. Low‑carb and banting, strategic intermittent fasting, and a systems‑based approach to sleep, stress and training. The result was a complete metabolic comeback: lost the visceral fat, reversed the markers, and unlocked the energy to build companies, raise three daughters and serve my community.
Today I bring that same Lean Six Sigma precision to coaching clients, advising teams, and speaking on metabolic health, performance and process optimisation across South Africa.
